about

It was a summer evening in July. I can still taste my lover's lips from when she gave me that last kiss before take off. I didn’t know if I would be coming back, but I knew I had to leave. After successfully landing on Venus I visited a local bar to collect intel, but first I ordered my favorite drink; A Whiskey neat. After a few rounds and conversation with local patrons, new information about the whereabouts of the Triangulum outlaw Velmar led me to the planet Mars. Full of excitement and Whiskey, I boarded my ship without making my normal inspection. This led to a dangerous oversight and my ship losing power minutes before entering the Martian atmosphere. What followed was an ominous crash landing. I survived the crash only to end up in the middle of the volcanic caves of Mars. A perilous location to say the least. After 3 days of travel and countless run-ins with martian bandits and vagabonds, I was given the last known location of Velmar by a thief who lost a leg to him in a bet. “The last I heard he was on Neptune.” I hissed at the sound of that planet because Neptune always gave me the blues. On Neptune I decided to meet up with an old friend. After all, she should be able to help with my mission. Her name is Synvella. She’s the flirty type, and not very trustworthy, but she knew this galaxy like the back of her hand. If anyone could help me find Velmar, she could. In exchange for the information I needed she asked me to teach her how to tame wild horses and begged me to take her horseback riding on Saturn. A strange request, but I knew this would come with a price, so I obliged. After a long day, we fell asleep in the shade of Saturn’s rings. When I awoke, she was nowhere to be found. “That sneaky woman!”, I exclaimed to myself. I was a fool for letting my guard down, but little did she know about the tracker that I placed in her boot yesterday. Around this time of year skinny dipping on Enceladus was the thing to do, and that’s exactly where she was. I tracked her location and stole the intel I needed from her belongings while she partied obliviously in the great lake of Enceladus. The intel revealed a strange radio signal emanating from Mercury. The tones transmitted were pleasant, but proved to be useless in my pursuit of Velmar. The intel also contained a map with coordinates to Jupiter, so I figured this would be my next stop. Hell, I may even catch a Jovian Sunset. Moments after landing on Jupiter my ship was under fire by none other than Velmar! This whole time I’ve been trying to get the drop on him, but somehow he got the drop on me. We exchanged laser fire until Velmar hightailed it towards his home, the Triangulum Galaxy. I knew following him was a bad Idea but I did it anyway. I wanted to catch him here in the Milky Way because the Triangulum Galaxy is a safe haven for outlaws. The truth is, I only know this because I was once considered an outlaw myself. After coming to an abrupt stop, I found myself surrounded by many of the outlaws that I considered to be brothers at one time. Velmar ordered them to attack. I had no choice but to kick my ship’s gears into light speed in order to evade certain death, and escape from Triangulum. Hardly unscathed, I returned to Gaia.

Until next time,

Light Speed
